Five Ways to Improve NBA 2K16 MyTeam and Get Free Packs

With the popularity of EA Sports' Ultimate Team mode in its "FIFA" series, every sports game now features a card-collecting mode. From "MLB The Show's" Diamond Dynasty to "Madden's" Ultimate Team, the mode is everywhere, including 2K Sports' "NBA 2K" series. But 2K Sports' MyTeam is due for an update that can make the mode better. Here are five ways to improve MyTeam.

1. Shorter Online Head-To-Heads

And while on the topic of shorter challenges, MyTeam could also use shorter online head-to-head matchups. Instead of six-minute quarters, MyTeam online head-to-heads should go back to five-minute quarters.

2. Shorter Challenges

Out of all the card collecting game, except for Diamond Dynasty, "NBA 2K16's" MyTeam mode can be quite exhausting. Whether you're playing the challenges, Domination or Road to the Playoffs, every game is features six minute quarters. EA Sports does a good job with "Madden" and "FIFA" by offering short, quick challenges that offer a fast way to earn coins.

3. Better Ways To Earn MT

In MyTeam, NBA 2K16 MT Coins are king. The coins are used to purchase new cards and packs but can only be earned through playing games in MyTeam and selling cards. While it's normal to earn coins that way in any card collecting sports game mode, "NBA 2K16" doesn't do a good job of giving you enough coins. You should be able to get a good amount of coins for completing in-game challenges, or 2K Sports should also give more locker codes to unlock more coins.

4. More Cards In Packs

When you open up a single pack in MyTeam mode, you are given five cards. The pack always consist of one player, and other items including playbooks, sneakers and contracts. Open a basic pack in "MLB The Show's" Diamond Dynasty mode and you're given six players and two items, while "NBA Live 16's" Ultimate Team mode gives you five players (enough for a starting lineup) and two items. 2K Sports needs to put more cards in their packs with a minimum of three players in the pack because as it stands right now, there is no point in buying packs for players.

5. Free Packs

This is one place where "MLB 15" succeeded. After every seven days of logging into the game, you would be granted with a free standard pack. It would be nice if "NBA 2K16" or "NBA 2K17" could do the same thing.
